Four Seasons Oolong

from 2.87

Oxidation: 15-20%
Origins: Ming Jian Township, Nantou County
Country: Taiwan
Baking Level: None
Elevation: 800 Meters
Harvest: Spring 2015

The absolute best Four Seasons Oolong I've had.  Very fruity, light floral undertone to the fruit character. Quite striking!

Initial Steeps:
Juicy character remains prominent on the leaf, with a slight green vegetal oolong character. Aroma carries to the brew as well. Thick, sweet brew with very pleasant mildy floral fruity retro nasal aroma. Coating brew.

Later Steeps:
Fruity character is holding strong on the wet leaf aroma. A little bit of ripe banana! The little balled up leaves are opening up, revealing a mix of dark green and mildly oxidized green leaves with brown edges. You can find vanilla-like floral aromas there too, but the fruity character is the hero of this tea - and it carries to the fragrance of the brew. It is also strongly present in the flavor of the tea.  The fruity note keeps on going. The brew itself is thick, rich, and full with the fragrance on full blast when you’re sipping. This is an easy drinking tea.
