Origins: Bamboo Mountain, Nantou County
Country: Taiwan
Baking Level: Level 5
Elevation: 600 Meters
Harvest: May 2016

The best Gui Fei I've ever had.  Perhaps for you as well.  Just an amazing tea.  Really nice prominent fruity aroma, slightly sour - like a nectarine or plum, with a mild roasty aroma in the background.

Initial Steeps:
Gorgeous fragrance! So very complex with a mix of fruity and floral tones. Very impressive first impression.  Wow, this fragrance is ridiculously complex. Its super fruity, floral, with candy-sweet terpenes. The strong fragrance carries over to the moderately-thick brew, with excellent smoothness and sweetness and nice acidity. Pretty sour plum note.

Later Steeps:
Somehow still getting stronger and more complex as it opens up. Gorgeous “designer fragrance” style of high oxidation roasted oolong that is the type of tea you show to people who think all tea smells and tastes the same. Stunning fragrance that reminds me a bit of fruity cologne. Nice honey notes too. Nice tingly acidity in the brew with super strong retronasal aroma.  This is a pretty incredible tea, with strong fruit, honey, floral, and bright terpenes that sparkle in your nose. The acidity is a bit piquant in the brew giving it a bit of a special mouth feel. This tea is an absolute winner.
