Mei Shan Oolong

from 3.87

Oxidation: 15-20%
Origins: Mei Shan, Yunling County
Country: Taiwan
Baking Level: None
Elevation: 800 Meters
Harvest: May 2016

Grown in the high mountains of the Mei Shan region of Taiwan.  A Stemy rolled tea, unfurling slowly at first. The aromatics are very pleasant, leaning towards the floral over all else. Slight butter character at the end.

Initial Steeps:
Brew smells like green tea with a hint of honey. The flavor is fuller than expected, with a thick body and good sweetness..  This is getting better and better. The aromatic character on the leaves is stronger now. There’s also a hint of “green” and honey nectar aroma. The flavor is pretty fantastic, with honey sweetness and strong floral notes.

Later Steeps:
Fantastic fruity/floral blend of fragrance, This tea has really opened up significantly and is more “crisp”.  Something you'll want to revisit.
