Oxidation: 80-100%
Origins: Yu Chi Township, Nantou County
Country: Taiwan
Baking Level: None
Elevation: 800 Meters
Harvest: Summer 2015

Potent savory-sweet fragrance mixture with a layer of dark dried fruit somewhere between raisins and sun dried tomato. Very attractive, and brilliant for an Assamica. Beautiful large whole leaves.

Initial Steeps:
Gorgeous savory-sweet aroma off the hot leaves continuing from the rinse. The liquor is light brown with a fragrance of a sweet tomato pastry with a toasty buttery fruity combination.  The brew is very flavorful, very smooth, remarkably sweet, and highly aromatic in the mouth.  Oh so sweet.  The hot leaves have a scent that almost reminds of a cooked maple-brown sugar glaze. Baked sweet potato. Its almost coying with it's pleasant appetizing sweet-savory mix.

Later Steeps:
The tea is red-brown, smells of the lovely sweet aroma, and packs tons of sweetness, flavor and aroma. Still super smooth with no drying character.  Super sweet honey-maple-malt baked sweet potato savory fragrance. Despite sounding odd this really marries the sweet and savory well. The flavor is so sweet, buttery, and yammy. This is an exciting and very interesting tea. It does best at quicker steeps due to its intense character. A beautiful, high quality tea that goes in a unique direction. It also opens up quite a bit and changes character subtly over the steeps.
